'I consider myself to be a Yorkshireman born and bred but have now lived in Birmingham for 25 years of the 45 I have been on this planet. It is also where I met my wife and my children were born and so I consider it as good a home town as any. The statue of King Kong by Nicholas Monro once stood in Birmingham city centre. So strong is the history of this statue and its connection to Birminghham that I believed for almost 20 years that I had indeed seen it in situ but in reality it had left the city some 20 years earlier. I finally came face to face with the great Kong 40 years after its removal from Birmingham, in…Yorkshire. ' - Ben
